i had worked on implementing midi markers on midish, but had stopped
lacking time to work on it. I had successfully been able to import
markers from a previously existing midi file containing a midi marker
track. Then listing their position was possible too, i only had
problems with files containing variable tempo information.
Based on was you describe, i see no problem implementing it. Markers
position are not stored with a measure position. They are stored with
a tick position, wich is the same as notes (anyone correct me if i'm
wrong). The measure position is then calculated for user display, base
on tempo definitions and midi timing configurations. So your markers
could be anywhere in the timeline.
Then i implemented a "goto marker" function, this you would need too.
I may still have the modified code on my computer, and could send you
patches if you know how to deal with them.
